*1. Height from road surface to fender arch. *2. Height at factory is the data tested at HKS with the setting of Full Kit. (HKS' recommended setting.) *3. Adjustable range (However, the lowest value may not be road legal. Even within the adjustable range, car body, arm etc. may contact. In such case, it will be hard to drive. Damper oil leakage or any other problems caused by low ride height setting from the factory setting will void the warranty of the product.) *4. Drivable range that there is no contact of car body or arms etc. (However, change of tire/wheel size may cause a problem.) Caution). Actual data depends on each vehicle. |

Point |
Sports type suspension design based on MAX Ⅳ GT for high-grip radial tires is available for JAZ80 Supra. The product has been designed through the full use of HKS' latest technologies. To determine the final specification, extensive product testing was performed to ensure compatibility in both high ride quality for everyday driving and better handling for circuit driving. A new valve combined with the latest piston design and an all new low resistance and compliant bump rubber all work together to produce a ride which is at a new level from previous designs. While unnecessary movement is minimized on the high ways or winding roads, the smoothness on gaps and bumps on the road maintains high driving comfort and excellent grounded feeling, which invites drivers step on the accelerator with confidence. The product was tested on the public roads, which were not only the smooth surface roads but also rough and undulating surface roads, and Fuji International Speed Way to finalize the settings. Under everyday driving conditions, its proper damping force to the piston speed enables the damper movement to be soft and obedient; but reliable damping is provided in necessary condition. The gentle and non-fluffy vehicle movement is provided as well. The damper movement is obedient and smooth even on gaps and bumps on the highways or winding roads. For circuit driving, making a full use of the tires' performance by smooth stroke was focused on. The movement with adequate damping characteristics enables more aggressive driving with better ground-contact feeling in the critical area of cornering. The stability in rear upon entering a corner, control performance in the critical area of cornering, traction and controllability at start were examined during the development process, and feedback by time measuring was conducted to contribute to time attack. Newly designed bump rubbers are included, and this bump rubbers act as low resilient sub-springs assisting at bumps. The assist amount can be adjusted by changing the case length. The default setting is focusing on easy handling. To reduce the vertical movement of the rear at gaps, etc., extend the case length approximately by 5mm. To adjust the vehicle height, change the case length. Only when changing the point where the bump rubber touches the case, change the ratio of the case length and thread length. The value in ( ) of the compression stroke is the point where the bump rubber touches the case. |
