Carrillo Con. Rod Set Pro-H Carr - Toyota GT86 Subaru BRZ FA20
One of the world's oldest and most respected con rod manufacturers. Since 1963, Carrillo has been crafting the finest and strongest connecting rods available in the world. Carrillo has supplied components to the winners of virtually all venues of motorsports. Carrillo rods are all available as complete sets with installation lubricant included, with some fitments being available to order individually.
Beam Construction:
- A-Beam: A lightweight rod design for high engine speeds and limited cylinder pressures.
- Super A-Beam: With an increased beam thickness, the Super A-Beam design has a higher load capacity than the regular A-beam design.
- H-Beam: The stoutest beam configuration available. It is capable of handling the most abusive forces in an engine.
As a rule of thumb, whatever the best value rod is that's available for your engine, is perfect for most street builds - Carrillo don't manufacturer weak rods. Look to the best available for pushing well beyond stock power and racing applications to maintain engine longevity. Carrillo rods have fewer failures than any other manufacturer we deal with.
Fastener Types: CARR vs. WCM
CP-Carrillo employs only the best fasteners designed in-house. There's two different materials used: H11 tool steel, also known as "WCM" (220,000 UTS); as well as multi-phase "CARR" (285,000 UTS). Both fasteners employ a patented thread design as well as the highest dimensional integrity in the industry. Each lot is sample tested destructively for both ultimate tensile strength as well as fatigue. The difference is in the material and the longevity. The WCM bolts can be trusted for about 15-18 torque cycles, CORR fasteners are good for indefinite torquings when the stretch method is followed for installation.
